At Health Access Innovation, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy will inform you about how we collect, use, share, and look after your personal data when you visit our website (the 'Site') and tell you about your privacy rights and protections.
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” We collect Device Information using the following technologies: 1) “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie. 2) “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. 3) “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site. 4) "Local Storage" is storage on your device where we may temporarily save certain data that allows the Site to understand your intentions and operational state as a user (e.g. are you logged in). Similar to cookies. Similarly, when you contact us for help navigating an insurance denial and enter information about your health insurance coverage in a form, or otherwise provide information related to your health or health coverage to us, we may store certain information such as your insurers name, plan name, or details about your request. We refer to this information as "Insurance and Health Information". When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Device Information, Insurance and Health Information and Order Information.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, by noting IP addresses associated with malicious attacks), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our users browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). We use the Insurance and Health Information that we collect only to facilitate the services that we provide to support people facing coverage denials.
We will only share your Personal Information with third parties to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights. We do not share your Personal Information in any other capacity.
Please note that we currently do not alter our Site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser. This is because currently we do not track data collected from your browser in any significant way; all ways in which we track data are explicitly mentioned above, and most are completely necessary for the functionality of the Site.
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data including the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, to object to processing, to portability of data and (where the lawful ground of processing is consent) to withdraw consent. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us through the contact information below.
When you use the Site or services in ways that involve sharing your Insurance and Health Information, we will maintain that information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
